2. Installation Position
Mounted on the front‑end of the crankshaft, opposite to the flywheel, located at the front side of engine block. It is fixed by bolts directly onto the crankshaft nose. No accessory drive belt pulley on this damper.
3. Function
- Absorb and dissipate torsional vibration generated by periodic cylinder combustion impacts during engine operation.
- Convert vibration energy into heat and release it, to suppress crankshaft resonance.
- Protect the crankshaft from fatigue crack or fracture.
- Reduce engine noise and vibration, extend service life of crankshaft and other engine components.
