2. Installation Position
It is mounted on the front end of the diesel engine, covering the entire timing gear chamber assembly:
- Fixed on the front housing of the engine block via circumferential bolts;
- Directly covers the engine front timing gear train (crankshaft timing gear, camshaft gear, fuel pump drive gear and idle gears);
- Located between the engine cylinder block and the radiator side, serving as the outer sealed enclosure of the front gear system.
Installation requirement: Install with a rubber sealing gasket between the cover and engine housing; tighten bolts diagonally in stages to guarantee uniform pressure and avoid oil leakage.
