Installation Location
It is generally mounted on the engine body or the inner frame of the machine cab, protected from direct high-temperature radiation and rain splash. It is fixed by mounting brackets and bolts, connected with engine wiring harness via multi-pin connectors.
Functions
- Receive real-time signals from multiple sensors: crankshaft position, coolant temperature, oil pressure, intake pressure, fuel pressure and other engine parameters.
- Precisely control high-pressure common rail fuel injection quantity, injection timing for each cylinder to optimize power output and fuel economy.
- Engine protection: trigger derate or shutdown when abnormal parameters occur (overheat, low oil pressure etc.) to prevent engine damage.
- On-board diagnostic (OBD): store fault codes for engine troubleshooting.
- CAN bus data exchange with other machine controllers.
- Emission management to meet relevant diesel engine emission requirements.
