2. Installation Position
Mounted on the exhaust manifold of Cummins 6CT/6CTAA diesel engine.
- Turbine side: Connects to engine exhaust manifold (receives high-temperature exhaust gas)
- Compressor side: Connects to air cleaner inlet pipe and engine intake manifold.
- Oil inlet & outlet ports link to engine lubrication system for bearing cooling and lubrication.
3. Function
This turbocharger uses the energy of engine exhaust gas to spin the turbine wheel. The coaxial compressor wheel compresses fresh air and feeds denser air into engine cylinders.
- Increase engine intake air volume.
- Improve combustion efficiency, raise engine power and torque.
- Reduce fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
- The built-in wastegate valve controls boost pressure, preventing over-boost to protect the diesel engine.
