2. Installation Position
Installed inside the engine cylinder block, located below the cylinder head, parallel to the crankshaft; connected with crankshaft via timing gear/timing system, fitted with valve tappets and push rods on cam lobes.
3. Main Functions
- Transmit power from crankshaft through timing transmission to realize synchronous operation.
- Use cam lobe profile to push tappets and push rods, control opening & closing of engine intake valves and exhaust valves accurately.
- Control valve opening time, lift and duration, ensure normal engine air intake, exhaust and fuel combustion process.
- Coordinate engine firing sequence, stabilize engine running power, torque and overall working efficiency.
- Guarantee engine gas distribution phase, reduce mechanical wear and maintain stable engine operation.
