2. Installation Position
- Located between the oil suction pipe (pickup tube) and the oil pump inlet on Cummins 6CT engines.
- Mounted at the bottom side of the engine block, above the oil pan.
- Secured by 2 × M8 bolts (not included).
3. Function
- Sealing: Creates a leak-proof seal between the oil suction tube and oil pump, preventing engine oil leakage and air ingress into the lubrication system.
- Pressure Stability: Maintains negative suction pressure for the oil pump, ensuring stable oil supply to engine components.
- Contamination Prevention: Blocks dust/debris from entering the oil circuit, protecting the oil pump and bearings from wear.
