Installation Position
It is installed on the engine lubrication system, on the engine block, at the oil outlet of the engine oil pump, between the oil pump and main engine oil galleries. It is mounted directly onto the threaded filter adapter base on the side of the engine block.
Function
- Remove solid contaminants such as metal particles, carbon deposits, and soot from engine lubricating oil.
- Keep engine oil clean, reduce wear of engine crankshaft, bearings, pistons and other moving parts.
- The built-in anti-drain back valve maintains oil pressure immediately upon engine start.
- The bypass pressure relief valve opens when the filter is clogged or oil viscosity is high in cold conditions, to ensure continuous oil supply and avoid engine oil starvation.
- Extend service life of engine oil and engine components.
