Installation Position
Mounted on the inner side of the engine cylinder block, below each cylinder bore, aligned toward the bottom of the piston crown.
Fixed with a mounting screw. Its spray tube points upward precisely to the underside of each piston. Oil is supplied from the main oil gallery inside the cylinder block. Correct orientation of the locating arm is required during installation to guarantee accurate oil‑spray direction.
Function
It sprays pressurized engine lubrication oil onto the underside of the piston continuously during engine operation.
- Dissipate excessive combustion heat from the piston, prevent piston overheating, thermal deformation and piston scuffing.
- Reduce thermal stress of piston assembly, extend piston and engine service life.
- Return sprayed oil back to the oil sump after heat exchange, part of the engine lubrication‑cooling circulation system.
