2. Installation Position
It is mounted on the side of the 6CT diesel engine cylinder block, between the engine oil filter base and the cylinder block. It is integrated into the engine lubrication and cooling circuit, fixed by bolts, and connected with engine oil pipelines and coolant pipelines.
3. Main Functions
- Cool engine lubricating oil: Dissipate excess heat of high-temperature engine oil during operation, keep oil temperature within the normal range.
- Maintain oil viscosity: Prevent lubricating oil from thinning due to overheating, ensure stable lubrication performance.
- Protect engine components: Reduce wear of crankshaft, connecting rod, piston and other moving parts, extend engine service life.
- Stabilize engine working condition: Avoid engine power drop or abnormal failure caused by overheated lubricating oil under heavy-load operation.
