Installation Position
It is mounted on the engine block, on the main lubrication circuit of Cummins heavy-duty diesel engines. Installed between the engine oil pump and engine lubrication passages. It is a screw-on spin-type filter, installed vertically or slightly inclined on the engine side.
Function
This is a combo full-flow & bypass oil filter.
- To filter solid contaminants such as metal particles, dust and carbon deposits from engine lubricating oil.
- Keep the engine oil clean, reduce abrasive wear of engine crankshaft, bearings and cylinder components.
- Combine full-flow filtration and bypass fine filtration in one canister to offer comprehensive engine protection.
- Maintain stable oil flow with low restriction under heavy load working conditions, extend engine service life.
