2. Installation Position
It is installed on the primary fuel line between the fuel tank and the engine fuel injection pump, as the first-stage fuel filter before the fine fuel filter. It is mounted on the engine or chassis bracket, upstream of the high-pressure fuel pump and injectors. A water drain valve is fitted at the bottom of the filter housing for regular water draining.
3. Function
- Separate free water and emulsified water from diesel fuel, collect water in the bottom sump.
- Trap solid contaminants such as rust, dirt and particles in diesel.
- Protect high-pressure fuel injectors and fuel pump against corrosion, abrasion and sticking caused by water and impurities.
- Deliver clean diesel to the engine, extend service life of fuel system components and maintain stable engine performance.
